Meet Jana Aguel, DMV, CEqD Jana Aguel (formerly Echols), DVM, CEqD was raised on a small ranch in Northern Arizona and has solely made her living in the equestrian community. She has always been an avid rider, trainer and competitor, and continues a career in barrel racing. She is driven by her love of horses to care for each patient as if it was her own. Dr. Aguel attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas on a rodeo scholarship, and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration. She began equine dentistry training at the Academy of Equine Dentistry in 2006. Her passion for dentistry and love of performance horses led her to attend veterinary school at Midwestern University.
